Last weekend, B and I went to the
Waterford Fair, which is pretty much the ultimate fall activity, right up there with apple picking and hay rides. Not only is the setting completely and totally picturesque, but the fair features a mind-boggling assortment of treasures from incredibly talented craftspeople. We were only there for a few hours, but one could easily fill an entire day checking out all the galleries, performances, and historic home tours.
One of my favorite things about this fair is seeing all of the craft demonstrations. Metalworking, basket making, wood carving - absolutely mesmerizing. I wish I had allowed more time to see more of these.
The flower barn was totally wild. Martha Stewart hocked up on amphetamines would be overwhelmed by the possibilities. It was hard to walk away with just a lavender wreath and small bouquet of dried wild flowers, and that was really only because B put his foot down.
The antique tractors were also pretty gnarly. My favorite was this one, because the wheels are badass.
These jeans are one of those ambiguous dark shades that you rack your brain trying to decide if they're black or blue. I'm pretty sure they're a very dark blue, but it's anyone's guess.
Aren't these shoes comical? I'm definitely a Docs child so it thrilled me to find a new style that I liked.
