Where is Rudolph? Where is Blitzen, baby?

Where is Rudolph? Where is Blitzen, baby?

Kind of in a weird cold weather/festive holiday clothing limbo right now. Not really a bad thing, but I find myself needing to add something shiny, lacy, fur-trimmed or richly-hued to every ensemble…hence the current choices you see here. Though I have to admit, I can’t wait for a holiday party (read: an excuse) to go all out for.

I got this belt a few years ago in New Orleans. Since I neglected to try it on before purchasing, it’s a little big for me, but paired with a giant sweater, it appears to be functional. Bravo.

Anthropologie sweater

That belt is deadly!

If you're looking for Rudolph and Blitzen they're over here in Dublin having a pint of Guinness after being snowed in by the blizzard that arrived last night. I'm sure they'll be back on the road again for Christmas šŸ™‚

Very cozy indeed. Touch of silky red is very Christmas. I love the feminine shoes under the chunky sweater.

What a cosy cardigan! I work in a vintage clothing shop and anything with a cable knit is flying out. Funny how fashions change. And pumps with no socks?! At this time of year? I hope your feet aren't cold. Don't make me worry about you, young lady.

Great move with the belt! I'm completely in favor of amping up the glam in the winter – we need something to help fend off the dark and the cold!

Oh I love everything about this–but especially the giant cozy sweater with the belt–the belt makes it all look sophisticated! And the shoes, of course.

The belt and sweater together are perfection. They both seem to be big and over exaggerated, which I love.

Haha, I have been feeling the same way–every outfit revolves around the holiday theme. At least we haven't resorted to Christmas sweaters…yet! Love the outfit!

i'm feeling the desire to dress in full-on holiday outfits too! must be the cold weather. i love how you manage to do it without being too over the top, with the just the small amount of red frilly collar showing. the sweater over it looks so cozy. and you know i love those shoes!! (i'm so glad you advised me on how comfy those are- i ended up getting a brown pair that i'll show off soon!!). ~joelle
