the other half

Remember I told you about the infamous "going away suit?" Well, this skirt was a piece of said suit. Try to imagine a perfectly-tailored little jacket on top and you've got the full ensemble. At some point I plan to wear that jacket... Crap, I need to get on that before summer ends...

vintage blouse
Forever 21 bodysuit
vintage Joseph Picone skirt
vintage bangles
Marc Jacobs shoes

Oh! I love this!! I can just imagine how it would look with a jacket!

Totally lovely almost neutrals. The going away suit is exactly the sort of thing my mother would also champion, and I'd look at her half-blankly, half-annoyed. When I was a child she made me wear bloomers. Oh yes.

I love how you've styled the blouse, and the lace cammi is perfect with it.

I imagine the jacket to the suit is adorable, you've only got a few weeks left for it!

You are so lovely as usual! My husband leaning over my shoulder said: "That's a cool shirt." Just in case you wanted to know what he thinks. ;-) I wonder if I am the only one who's husband occasionally reads the blogs on her blog roll?

Anyway, I also really love the way you tied the shirt too! And I MUST see this suit all together!

Such a pretty outfit. That blouse goes so well with the skirt. You should post a picture of the whole suit just for postings sake. :)

I'll bet it is just gorgeous with the jacket, like the kind of ensemble people used to wear with a hat to city hall for a quickie wedding :)
