longshoreman's blues

More photos from roaming the streets of Annapolis. The weather was incredible on Friday and I took advantage of it by walking down to the water and inspecting all the adorable shops in the historic district. A lot of the boutiques on the main drag were overpriced, but in the antique shops off the beaten path, there were deals to be had! I found a fantastically delicate costume necklace and a pretty little tasseled velvet purse (both of which I will share soon!).

This necklace actually came from a trendy boutique, but it was dirt cheap 🙂

I love that the shades aren't white, it takes the outfit to another level. Amazing sandals, too.

I love the two different weight stripes together. it's a very cool look!

I would never have thought to do two sets of stripes together. The belt is the perfect way to break them up. Or unite them. You pick.

those sandals are pretty fab! and i love your sunnies – i need to add more to my collection 😉

I love Ur new necklace! 🙂

I love the different stripes combined here. So cute. And I loved the houses when I was in Annapolis. I wish I had more time to explore when I was there.

I love how the stripes on the shirt and skirt don't clash and make you look like a prisoner. How do you do that?

I want to LIVE in that first house, gorgeous!

oh it looks adorable I'll put it on my must-see list next time I'm around DC!

I am a huge fan of mixing patterns, especially now mixing stripes because of my obsession with all things sailor. I thought it was a stripey dress! You look fantastic!

I love the sunnies with this. You look cool, crisp, and oh so chic!

I love historical houses. The colors and style is so lovely. I like how you mixed the stripes. I find that it's better to wander around looking the empty shops than going to the most popular ones.

Sigh, I miss the East Coast. I love your shades — tres beautiful! And don't get me started on the shoes. Excellent.

I am loving this post. Annapolis looks like such a wonderful trip – and makes me very excited to visit the eastern side of the country later this summer.

And the sandals look great! I lost my toenail while training for a run back in March and always look at everyone else's open toe sandals during the summer.

Oh my! I love stripe on stripe so much, you make it look like the perfect dress!

Well you young lady can seriously rock the stripes. I love the silhouette as well, hourglass with the stripes growing more soft at the skirt. And that big thick belt cinching your tiny narrow waist, chic! You of course look beautiful as ever. And the street photos are wonderful; I love old architecture like this!

And ha-ha at you calling me kid, I've got like 20 years up on you…
