I need to start sharing some pictures of these summer trips! I've been terrible! On Friday, B and I took a mini 24-hour vacation in Annapolis. As you might expect, we gorged ourselves on seafood, primarily blue crab - had the most insanely delicious meal at O'Learys (crab and lobster cakes are a sin!) and the Boatyard Bar & Grill has the best crab dip I've ever tasted.

B and I had been talking about to the US Naval Academy Museum for a while now, specifically to see the boat models. We were not at all disappointed. People with lots of time and superhuman amounts of patience can create some pretty incredible things.

Whirlwind of a 24 hr vacation! How fun :)
love everything about your outfit!
When we were in stockholm last year we went to the Vasa Museum where they had a preserved ship they had raised from the sea that looked like these! it was so beautiful
Beautiful photos! I need to get to that museum, STAT. And, sigh, your shorts are gorgeous.
xo

i love your shoes! i wish there was a close up of them. your whole outfit looks great by the way.
Please don't say crab cakes. It's the thing I miss most about living on the east coast.
Looking very chic! Those boats are unbelievable. And like Eli comments above, they are similar to the Vasa museum. Just on a miniature scale.
Did you get highlights/lowlights? Your hair looks really good (as usual)! The outfit is impressive (as usual!)! ;) You always look so chic and pretty. xx
I love the blazer with the shorts! Is it wrong that you have me craving crab dip at 7:15 in the morning?
Effortless chic!
Love the detailing on those boats. Amazing!
Hmmm sounds like your next mini-vacay should be in Baltimore haha. Come visit!

My Dad & I thought about taking a day trip to Annapolis, but we ended up in Richmond instead this past spring when he was in town for a business trip and I was still back at college in DC. Maybe I'll go
I really need a pair of granny shorts, they're the hot thing!

Lace tops are so difficult to wear! I'm glad I got it though

I love the cream neutrals with the bright necklace. One of my favorite combos!
I have an inexplicable obsession with white blazers (although strangely I do not own one), hence you have me all giddy over this outfit. I love that it's a little bit more dressed up than most daytime summer outfits tend to be, but still has a distinctly light and airy color palette. Sounds like a great trip!
Perfect weekend look. Love the blazer. xo Mish
Gorgeous look and pics!
Love your blazer!

your blog has a sick header, and your blog is also genuinely great. lots of street style blogs are just an excuse for putting up pics of oneself, but you seem to really take care into the shot, the lighting, the editing, etc. kudos!

You are the queen of minimalism and simplicity, I adore your white blazer and those shorts!!! AHHH! I need a white blazer so badly!
I love the clean classic look of that blazer!
Also, I have just a quick question for you, I want to create a facebook page solely for my blog, The Hot Spot. I know you have one for your blog as well. Do you mark it as a local business?? Or a brand or product? I wasn't sure which one to choose and I thought you would probably know which one is right since you've had a facebook page for your blog for a while now. Anyway, any helpful advice concerning that would be fantastic!
Thank you!
Love the East Hamptons vibe, and the neutrals are spot on.

LOL at your comment about the boots!
Also, you never fail to disappoint me with your chicness! Oh, how I long for a white blazer! And look at you here looking totally perfect in it! I just adore your style. You are so sophisticated and yet laid back.
So very Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road (well, except the scene where she is in the really shiny suit, though that is a pretty cool shiny suit).
I was just in Annapolis too! Love the shorts!

I'm in love with your shorts! You look great. ♥♥
i love these shorts!
Shorts and blazer are still one of my favourites - and you wear them beautifully. Incredibly intricate work on the ships! xoxo
great blazer! like the oufits! come follow me http://www.fashioniceice.blogspot.com xoxo
I've got a pair of Gap pleated shorts I've had forever. I go back and forth about whether they're stylish or not. But this look convinces me to dust them off and try them with a blazer.
The only trick is when it's warm enough to wear shorts, it's usually too hot for a jacket (I'm here in DC, too)!
