Daytime I walk the street I start to run!

Went to a friend’s rather cold soccer game on Friday and, shocker of all shockers, I was the one dressed most practically.  Don’t worry, I won’t make a habit of it.  Even so, I feel like it’s not hard to wear flats when they’re as adorable as these.  I’ve been putting off buying the oh-so-boring “work flats” for much too long, but actually got excited when I found these.  Downside: I did not find them on sale until after I wore them for the first time.  You do not even want to know what terrible screams of rage poor B was subjected to upon this unfortunate discovery.  Nothing irritates me more than discovering an item on sale after the fact.  Question: why does Anthropologie insist upon re-naming items with their own cute little titles and conveniently leaving out the brand name?  Most displeasing when one is scouring the Internet for, say, “Candela oxfords”…

vintage men’s J. Press button-down
men’s cashmere sweater
snakeskin pattern H&M jeans
Bally bag
Candela oxfords

PS I want to send a (terribly belated) thank you the Capricious Club for the lovely award!

I love this fabulous silhouette, and I ADOREADOREADORE those oxfords. Wow.

ugh… that's the worst! i hate it.. some stores will actually let you go back and get a price adjustment if they went on sale within a certain # of days that you bought them.. guess you could try that?

either way tho, they're def a keeper =D

i love the flats! probably the first pair of flats that i've liked. normally i slowly back away, but you scored!

Wow, I love this. And yes, I never understood why Anthro doesn't mention the brand name of their wares. I've also been double crossed in the manner you describe.

I wasn't going to comment, but I had to leave a quick comment on your oxfords because they caught my eye last time at Anthropologie. They're just amazing. (:

Those oxfords are so awesome! And I feel your annoyance at the name change thing. I get that they're trying to be cute and creative, but that's what the description part is for. leave the name alone! 🙂

Very cool outfit. Man, those shoes went down in price A LOT. Was it very soon after you bought them? In CA you can take the receipt and get it adjusted for sale price but I think it has to be within 15 days or something like that. I am so debating buying them but I just bought too many new shoes lately.

The sweater is perfectly proportioned, granted it's a men's sweater, for those jeans, and the color matches perfectly with that bag. Love this look.

Amazing! Chic and Fabolous!

Reply

Yes! That annoys me so much too about Anthro. They want you to buy the shoes on their site/at their store rather than someone else's. Annoying. You look adorable though 🙂
