I’ve been biding my time for the weather to finally warm up so I could bust out this skirt.  I’ve always been a sucker for vintage Ralph Lauren and I couldn’t resist the wonderful French nautical print on this piece.  Oh and I’m also quite enamored with these white mesh leggings I just got from American Apparel.

B and I were so lucky to have a visit from my good friend, Aj, and her fiance as an excuse to finally try out Corduroy last night.  It was fabulous!  I am rarely this satisfied by a meal from a DC restaurant, because too often it seems that they don’t deliver on the whole meal (especially the entree).  All of us strategized to order differently so we would be able to try as much of the menu as possible and I was not disappointed by a single thing that I tried.  I ordered the tuna tartare with crispy onions and the roasted guinea hen with leeks and mushrooms, which even B, who is generally anti-poultry, enjoyed.  We were also impressed by the wine list.  We had the 2000 Château Mirebeau Bordeaux blend with dinner and I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent Chinon by the glass, which I usually have a hard time finding in the States.  Overall, I would highly recommend this place and will be returning in the near future.

WOW, girl. I am kind of speechless. This skirt is beyond fantastic. I love the shade in your pictures, too.

I'm glad you had a nice meal at Corduroy! From that vintage, you sure know how to pick your wine! (I worked for several summers as a quasi-sommelier at a very fine dining restaurant on Martha's Vineyard.)

Best mixing of prints ever!

I hate ordering wine in the states, everything tastes so different to back home – I usually just let others do it for me…

Fab looking menu. Nice to see lamb on the menu, its not too often on the menu in the US. I had a root around in the on line wine list. there are some gems and at not too over the top prices.

My picks would be (from the old world) along side the red you guys had….

The second wine of Le Pez (1640) AT $61 is not bad, as is Pontet Canet (1605) at $81. I recently had the very same Givry they have (220) and its stunning value at $54, I paid more than that in £'s

Now… importantly,… wonderful look E!! I do love those shoes so much, you amaze me with what you think to pair them with, and they always works. In this case I think for me its all about angles! 😀
