vintage shearling coat and LL Bean duck boots

My (hopefully last) snow outfits…

I’m going to share a secret with you: I have deep deep love for L.L. Bean duck boots.  Nerdy, I know, but I kind of feel like a character from a Norman Rockwell painting when I wear them.  Second look is so “Nanook of the North,” it’s not even funny.  I think it was justified, given the circumstances.

Hypeed was kind enough to feature on of my looks in their Plaid and Tartan Trend spread.  Check it out here.

I also want to thank the Trendy Fashionista for the award.  She’s so sweet and her blog is full of tempting items and inspiration.

Goodness that is one heck of a shearling coat! I love it, especially for the gorgeous clasps and duck boots are the best. I wish I had a pair so I wouldn't have to slip on ice every time I walk out the door!

ugh you make winter look so cute and fun and like oooh like at her being a cute snow bunny. False advertisement, haha. Although the amount of layers you get to wear can be fun for us fashionistas.

Have I ever told you that I really like your banner? It's oodles of great.

Those boots are pretty cool E, a lot of the preppy/americana menswear blogs were writing about their appreciation of Bean boots just a month or so ago. I have a pair of Bean's Maine hunting shoes, which are basically duck boots but all chocolate brown color, and I've been wearing them for a week straight now. A lot of streets around Dupont are still a mess..!

i have a similar deep love for bean boots. that's why i got the bean-style hunter boots, rather than the traditional! they're very new england. in fact, both my parents have pairs that they've had to get re-soled twice. i had a kiddie pair when i was little, too, come to think of it.

love the looks! hope you're surviving all the snow over there in d.c.!

I've been so tempted to buy a pair of those boots because of all the snow we've gotten. I'm glad to see you try to get out, I'm scared to leave my house in blizzard conditions.
