Glover

So Lady Gaga was amazing last night, as expected.  I have some photos to weed through to share with you all, just hang tight.  In the meantime, Lady G's mind-blowing glove selection had me browsing leather gloves for Fall today, so I thought I might share my finds...

Topshop Studded Driving Gloves - Aren't these kind of tough, yet ladylike?

Urban Outfitters Long Zip-up Gloves - Badass, yet cheap, thus my kind of glove.

Burberry Leather Chain Gloves - I can dream, can't I?

Topshop Perforated Zip-up Gloves  - No explanation necessary here.

Michael Kors Fringe Gloves - This is just one of those 80s-meets-motorcycle fantasies of mine. Carry on.

Ann Taylor Long Suede Gloves - Probably the most practical of the bunch, but I wouldn't call them boring. Gray and suede are a magical combination.

pull ya pants up Lenny

First, I want to thank Jasna and Style Scoop so much for the incredibly nice feature about my blog.  They've featured a lot of other bloggers that I admire, so I can't tell you how appreciative I am to be one of them.

I'm not really sure this outfit was the best suited to jumping pictures.  I'm more amazed at how high I was able to get off the ground.  If it weren't for a total lack of hand-eye coordination, I might have missed my calling as a basketball player.

It's getting colder, which is exciting, because I was getting to the point where I was at a loss for what warm-weather-Fall clothes to wear. I have more sweaters than any one person living below the Mason-Dixon line should have, but that did not stop me from buying another one at H&M. It's made of one of those wonderful mystery synthetic blends that doesn't itch and never seems to pill.  Not taking it off until April.

For some reason, this felt like an Uncle Karl outfit.  Not really sure why, because there are no stiff collars or sunglasses involved.  It just does.

What do you all have on tap for this weekend?  I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow.  One of my friends is going to bring a real, live human being into this world.  I barely remember to pay rent on time.  Nice.

PS I want to thank Grace of Squarectomy for featuring me as her Blogger of the Week.  I've been reading her blog for some time now and was touched that she chose to feature my blog!

I guess this would be the "night" half of a day-to-night look from Saturday (day half seen here).  I liked the fancy feel of the top, so it wasn't too difficult to dress it up for going out.  Hmm... I kind of wish I had something exciting to tell you, like "I saw Karl Lagerfeld riding the metro and neither of us had a pen with which he could autograph my forehead, so he gave me one of his rings instead," but that would that would be untrue.  Better luck next time.

Another H&M pants purchase.  Zippers, seams, fit like a glove.  Really, the possibilities are endless with these bad boys.  It was kind of that lukewarm part-Summer, part-Fall temperature on Friday, though, so I started out simple.  Baby steps.

Just got back from a fairly inspiring Redskins game, complete with quotables like the one above from our buddy, D.  I'm pretty sure he's not joking when he says these things.

Oh and so we're clear, I did not wear this to the game.  This was from Saturday.  The weather was gorgeous, but as much as I dreaded Summer ending, all I can think about now are Fall clothes.  With this ensemble, I was kind of feeling the Katharine Hepburn vibe.

I went absolutely bonkers at H&M the other day.  I can't get over how many amazing Fall pieces they have for under the $50 mark.  I even saw a few things on my way out the door which have been haunting my dreams since I left.  These snake print jeans were in the H&M Fall "magazine" and I marked a giant star next to them the moment I laid eyes upon them, so I guess it was meant to be.  However, they fit so much better than I would have expected.  I might even go out on a limb and say they rival the fit of my much-loved J Brands...

I had my first "blogger meet up" on Saturday with Laura and Megan of chicfaced.  Being able to meet up in person with two local bloggers that I enjoy reading so much was a refreshing experience. We all thought it was funny to be so familiar with someone, but to have never have met them face to face.  Anyway, it was interesting to talk about what inspired us to start our blogs, speculate as to who Anna Wintour really is, and marvel at the way the blogosphere has totally dominated fashion week this year.  Good times.

I guess we're working backwards with these outfits here as this one was from (last) Friday.  Went to a Georgetown soccer game and the weather was so gorgeous.  September is my favorite month.

This top was a Topshop steal from one of their few and far between sales.  It's comfy, yet elegant. As I have pondered these pants' place in my wardrobe for some time, this brave little top has now given them a purpose. The shoes were stolen from my mother's closet (and carefully replaced from whence they were taken).
